The Wyoming Singer-Songwriter Competition is sponsored by Wyoming Singer-Songwriters, a non-profit organization created out of the competition. Jon Gardzelewski
FOUNDER and Board Member
Jon is a multi-instrumentalist who sings and plays guitar, viola, mandolin and fiddle with multiple groups. A passionate songwriter, his original tunes can be heard in "The Locals" and in solo performances. In 2017 he released his first solo album, "Phantom Heart," incorporating a wealth of talented Laramie-based musicians. He started the Laramie Singer-Songwriter Competition five years ago with Ray Mitchel IV, and decided to expand it statewide in the summer of 2018.
Kelli Trujillo
Board Member
Kelli Started playing music at age 8 and hopes that "some day I'll get better." She played open mics in Colorado before moving to Laramie 21 years ago, and has been in several Laramie and Wyoming bands including: Cluster Plucks, The 'Zarks, Black Crow-White Crow, WhatNot, J Shogren Shanghai'd, and the Jalan Crossland Band. Kelli is currently obsessed with learning Irish Traditional Music on the Anglo Concertina.
John Poland
Board Member
John Poland is Laramie-based guitarist and song writer. He has collaborated with many local artists on various musical projects. He is a founding member of Acoustic Funeral which is Laramie’s only all-acoustic, Black Sabbath cover band.
